12. Children’s Privacy Policy
Our commitment to protecting children
At Al-Kawthar Educational and Cultural Center, we are committed to protecting children’s privacy (i.e., individuals under 13 years old, or the legal age according to your country’s laws). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without parental consent.
Sign at the entrance
A clear sign is posted at the center’s entrance summarizing the photography rules and privacy terms. Entering any hall of the center (including children accompanied by their parents/guardians) is considered as acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms.
Responsibility of parents/guardians
Parents/guardians are solely responsible for reading and understanding these terms before bringing their children into the center. The center does not individually notify parents/guardians in advance, and it assumes no responsibility towards any person (child or adult) who enters the center’s hall, whether regarding photography, documentation, or any other privacy-related matter.
Photography and no liability of the center
The center is not responsible for filming any person inside the hall, wherever they may be. Since the sign is placed at the entrance, entering the premises constitutes implied consent to the possibility of appearing in photos or videos taken by the center or other attendees. If a parent/guardian does not wish their child to be filmed, they must keep the child away from the hall or ensure the child stays out of camera range; they cannot object after entering.
Collection of data from children
Children are not permitted to subscribe to the newsletter or courses online without explicit written parental consent. If we discover that we have data of a child without such consent, we will delete it immediately upon notification.
Rights of parents/guardians
If you are a parent/guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal data without your consent, you may contact us to request deletion of that data. You may also exercise your rights on behalf of your child regarding the prevention of filming, provided that you inform the team at the entrance before entering the hall.
Updates to children’s policy
Any changes to this policy will be posted here, and an updated sign will be placed at the center’s entrance.
