Lassi vs chaas: Which is healthier?

While there are many hydrating drinks out there, among the desi options lassi and chaas seem to be the most preferred ones.

Compared to chaas, also known as buttermilk, which is a lighter and more savoury beverage, lassi is a creamier, thick and sweetened drink.

Although the degree of sweetness can change based on the recipe and the drinker’s preferences, lassi is much sweeter.

Contrarily, chaas has a tangy taste since salt is used to season it, giving it a faint saltiness.

While both chaas and lassi are great beverages for the summer season, chaas is a healthier option, and more suited to those trying to lose weight.

Chaas has almost 50% fewer calories than lassi, and almost 75% lesser fat but provides same quantity of other nutrients.
